Roy Bittan - piano
Tony Visconti - guitar & backing vocals (& producer!)
Andy Clark - synthesizer

Production Notes:
According to co-producer Tony Visconti, Bowie's method on Scary Monsters was somewhat less experimental and more concerned with achieving a commercially-viable sound than had been the case with his recent releases; to that end the composer spent more time on his own developing lyrics and melodies before recording, rather than improvising music in the studio and making up words at the last minute.[2] Aside from one cover, Tom Verlaine's "Kingdom Come", all tracks would be credited to Bowie alone, unlike the 'Berlin Trilogy' where he had increasingly relied on input from his collaborators.

Among those collaborators, Brian Eno was no longer present on Scary Monsters but, following his absence from Lodger, Robert Fripp returned with the distinctive guitar sound he had earlier lent to "Heroes". Bruce Springsteen's pianist Roy Bittan was back for his first Bowie album since Station to Station (1976), while The Who's Pete Townshend guested on the bittersweet love song "Because You’re Young". -Original

NOTE:
Another glorious SBD recording of New Order's USA89 tour, this time from Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, Irvine, CA. Lineage is the same stash-o-soundboards from (most likely) Hooky's Suite 16 recording studio (Hooky being New Order's bassist Peter Hook), liberated by Brian Whittaker (Revenge touring bassist) via eBay, but previous to selling copied amongst the NO trading community in the UK.
This differs slightly from the original seed of this gig. Some glitches were corrected,
and there were old SBE's (not detectable by shntool - ugh!) that I had to manually remove. I also
fixed up the levels a bit. In all, it's a great improvement on the original seed. -ORIGINAL

"This story begins on July 20th 1976, when the Sex Pistols played at the Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester, supported by local bands Slaughter and the Dogs and the Buzzcocks (making their debut). According to legend, this gig inspired Joy Division to buy guitars and form a band. Although the truth may be less dramatic, there is no doubt the event did stimulate the Manchester music scene in general and the future members of Joy Division in particular."
So this was the concert that started the Manchester revival! The apparently talentless Sex Pistols...well, the guitar riff in "No Lip" is seriously groovy!! -ORIGINAL

bootlegzone.com:
Good audience recording of show at Manchester, Lesser Free Trade Hall on 4 June 1976, released on CD as "Aggression thru Repression" and "Good Time Music of The Sex Pistols". There is a good review of this gig in the book "I swear I was there" by David Nolan. This gig was influential in starting a whole scene in Manchester, or so the book claims. There is lots of interesting between-song banter between Johnny and the crowd that is really enjoyable to hear, and you can tell by the sound quality that the hall was only partially filled. There seems to be some volume adjustment on the first song “Did you no Wrong” which also sadly fades up in the beginning. As with a lot of tapes the taper seems to adjust things on the first song and then lets it roll. -ORIGINAL

Notes:
- Set list from KISS Quarterly Magazine #1 ("Into The Vault" by Jeff Suhs). It is likely that this is the same show as one often referred to as occurring later.
- Recorded and mixed by Eddie Solon on a nine-channel 27 input Peavey Sound System. In KISStory the date 8/25/73 is attributed, though the authors of "KISS Alive Forever" suggest that the date is incorrect; due to one of Paul's raps mentioning Father's Day (which would have fallen on 6/17/73).
- This, and the partial second set, are probably the earliest surviving Kiss live audio recordings.
- * Only "Acrobat" has been released from this recording, on the 2001 Box Set, the rest of the SBD show leaked on 12/21/2013. -Original
