Review:
Someone has done a fairly good job of computer colorizing a black and white photo of Dylan and Danko onstage at the Olympia, for the front cover of this title. As the name implys, the all electric soundboard tracks were recorded over a one week period during the May, 1966 tour of England. Of course, the Manchester show is now an official release. This version of Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues was also officially released on Masterpieces (although not in the USA). The first seven tracks were available on the boot 'Play Fucking Loud'. There remains a bit of confusion over this release, as the disc itself is silkscreened with the title In 1966 There Was. This same disc was, in fact, released by that title as well. -Original

Iconic Images Of Photography: Starving Child and Vulture, Kevin Carter, 1993

The most haunting image on the most iconic images of photography, Kevin Carter captured the devastating famine in Sudan with a photograph of a toddler crawling to a UN feeding center while a vulture stalks her as prey. Carter won a Pulitzer Prize for his work but received harsh criticism for both the photograph and for not helping the child. A year later, gripped by the devastation and depression he had seen, Carter committed suicide.

This is a gig from the “Solid Bond” UK mini-tour in Autumn 1982. The tour coincided with the release of “The Bitterest Pill” single, although that song does not appear to have been played at the live shows. The band re-introduced a number of older songs into the set, including Away From The Numbers, So Sad About Us, All Mod Cons and Smithers-Jones, all of which haven't been played for several years. The sound quality is nothing special, but quite listenable (no soundboards and only a couple of good audience recordings appear to be in circulation for this tour, which is a shame given the strong set list and tight performances by the band). -Original
